Casting for Lukas Hofmann’s performance – open call for performers (until 07.06.2026)

BGSW Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art is looking for performers to take part in a performance by Lukas Hofmann, presented as part of the International Exhibition of Leather Forms.

The performance will take place on July 11, 2026, in the square in front of BGSW Baszta in Słupsk, Poland. The performance is co-organised by Nowy Teatr im. Witkacego in Słupsk.

Please note: participants must be able to communicate and collaborate comfortably in English throughout the rehearsal process and preparation of the performance.

We are looking for performers, actors, dancers, or people interested in working with the body and live action. The call is especially addressed to individuals based in Słupsk, Ustka, or Poland, but it is open to everyone interested.

Application deadline: June 7, 2026

Rehearsals: July 6/7–10, 2026, in Słupsk or Ustka, Poland, 6–8 hours per day

Performance: July 11, 2026, in Słupsk, Poland

Total working time: approximately 30–32 hours

Fee:

BGSW offers a fee of 1300 pln gross for participation in rehearsals and performance. 
For non-local performers, accommodation is covered. Travel costs are not covered. Snacks will be provided during rehearsals.


Requirements:

Availability in Słupsk or Ustka, Poland, for the entire rehearsal period and performance date, experience with live work, such as performance art, theatre, dance, musical theatre, or related fields, is welcome but not required, English language proficiency allowing for smooth communication and collaboration, charisma and openness to working with the body, presence, and performative action.
