“Nawzajem” is a neighbourhood space—close, open, and welcoming—where you can simply drop by: to see what’s new or to share what matters to you.
In shaping this meeting place, we weave it together with a series of activities prepared for our neighbours: film screenings, walks through the district, and book and plant exchanges. The space—together with the emerging community garden—will be open throughout the summer.
We will also meet here as part of familiar BGSW programmes: “Neighbourhood Studio” and “Radio That Listens.” In their new iterations, we will reflect on the social role of the gallery and on creating spaces with and for local communities.
We have invited two special guests—Magdalena Starska and Daniel Godínez Nivón—who, starting in July, will co-create the “Nawzajem” programme, developing it in response to the encounters, situations, and needs that arise.
A key part of Each Other & Mutuamente is also the screen-printing studio led by Sylwia Starkowska. Beginning in June, visitors will be able to explore this technique, and the results of collective work will become part of our neighbourhood environment. We hope that this format—escaping the conventions of a typical exhibition—will allow us to feel closer to one another.
