——————-
The artist works upward and beyond reality of the represented world. While seeking for the sources of spiritual sublimation he starts from the depth of human body. The artist uses a measuring rod with which he indicates directions of the expanse as well as the lightness of the vastness with a shape of line drawn in the air. He remains in vigilance of the breath-measured time and opens himself to random incidents which might be missed in case of simple errors on art.
——————-
Zygmunt Piotrowski (Noah Warsaw) was born in 1947 in Zabrze. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1968-74). Since the beginning of the 70s he has been an active participant of the independent cultural movement, running some interdisciplinary studies on the role of collaboration in the creative process (1972-81). He has taken part in the international independent art movement (“Black Market” International), promoting the ideas of alternative education (Aufmerksamkeitsschule). Since 2009 he has acted under the name of NOAH WARSAW, expanding the formula of performative actions into the discipline of ART FOREGROUND. As a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in 2011 he published the theoretical assumptions for new artistic discipline Groundwork / Fine Art: “Spatial Paradigm of Infinity”.
