This collection is based on an idea by quantum physicist Werner Heisenberg (1901-1976) that suggests a kind of reality which stands in the middle of the idea of an event and the event itself, a reality which stands in equal distance from the reality of a phenomena and the possibility of that phenomena.
In these photos, which are shot on a medium format twin-lens reflex camera that is converted to handmade pinhole camera, i am trying to find that hypothetic reality, in which illusions meet with dreams.
In many of my previous photographs i was not really sure to include people, and my efforts was to show the places empty of people, but the atmosphere of Ustka and joyful moments of people who are spending their holiday in this city, made me to at last change my point of view and try to include people as they are in the photos, and see what will happen if i capture their moments with this hand made camera. But because the exposure times are more that only some fractions of seconds and they are about some whole seconds, the images will take another look and it differs from what we actually see.
