Justyna Górowska „Iris i Reks”
Justyna Górowska “Iris i Reks”
January 13th – February 11th
Small Gallery, Słupsk, ul. Partyzantów 31a
In her artistic work Justyna Górowska reconstructs an innocent and lost vision of the world in front of the viewer’s eyes. It’s quite clearly a cosmos in which the man, the flora and fauna are a common ecosystem and have – just like in Josef Beuys’ creation – one common (pan)conscience. So we can say, after Gilles Deleuze, whom the artist recalls in her notes, that the body in her realisations “is defined (…) not by particular organs enclosed in a functional wholeness, but by affects circulating in a specifically understood ‘body without organs’ which is determined by various influences to which it undergoes, generating them at the same time”.
