The project Clashes is describing situations of the clash between fact and fiction, between a fictitious world, which includes references to fairy tales figures, and the real world, which is reduced to black and white. The colourful world of animation can often be more attractive than reality. The cycle of pictures Impossible shows the clash between these two different worlds. In turn, the cycle of photographs Anti-atlas refers to the escape into one’s heart, to isolation, where naked men of different sexual orientation are cringing in embryonic position like in the mother’s womb. It is a depiction of the fear of the hard and real world, where title Anti-atlas is not able to carry all the things that could enable him to live a peaceful life without others’ interference in his privacy. The films Reaction and Reaction 2 show one’s quite intensive looking for a contact with another man through simple actions like kissing or the need of silencing the information turmoil propagated by the media. These films are a kind of performance in front of the camera, in which I have used my own face. It is the need of attracting attention, aimed at not leaving the viewer (or the man) indifferent. These two films are very short 6 and 3 minutes respectively, and should be projected looped simultaneously side by side in order to make one work consisting of two images.
