WHITE NOISE a programme in which technology assists nature, and art becomes the voice of ecology, including social ecology so important today within the context of creating and fostering relations and learning how to find your way through the chaos of information.
The formula of a cross-generational open-air session and workshops will allow us to create space in which small gestures, walks, and paying attention to our surroundings can be used as the matter to work with. With a week-long open-air session taking place by the Słupia estuary in Ustka and nearby, we wish to contribute to the reflection on diverse forms of ecology: new reflection on nature, ecology in art and, last but not least, social ecologies.
The tradition of open-air sessions will be juxtaposed with late autumn weather in after-season Ustka; invited persons will be able to penetrate the surroundings of the spa town and document their actions. The cross-generational session will include a cycle of workshops conducted by residents associated with the Sculpture and Ceramic Studio by the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art, which has been serving as a place of meetings, education and creative activities for years.
