OPIS PROGRAMU REZYDENCJI
The Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art in Slupsk announces an open call for the Artist Residency Programme. It is addressed to female artists from Ukraine at different stages of their artistic careers, working in the field of visual arts. During the residency at the Centre for Creative Activity in Ustka, the artists will work on the the project, consultations with the curator of the residency, workshops for the local community of Ustka and a summary of the project in the form of an exhibition or a meeting with the public.
The organiser will provide a stay in the Creative Activity Centre in Ustka in the period from
2.11.2024 – 1.12.2024, the possibility to use the ceramic studio, the photo and film studio, an honorarium. It is possible to come with child(ren).
REGULATIONS
General Information
1. The Regulations define the conditions of participation in the Artist Residency Programme for an artist from Ukraine at the Centre for Creative Activity (CAT) in Ustka.
2. The organiser of the Artist Residency Programme is the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art in Słupsk (BGSW), ul. Partyzantów 31 A, 76-200 Słupsk, Regon 000678239, NIP 839-17-76-423.
The partner of the Artist in Residence Programme for an artist from Ukraine is the Zaiks Fund for the Support of Creativity.
4 The venue of the Artist in Residence Programme is the Centre for Creative Activities (CAT) in Ustka, 1a Zaruskiego Street, 76-270 Ustka.
5. The Artist Residency Programme is aimed at female artist from Ukraine, a graduate of art faculties, at various stages of development of her artistic career, working in the field of visual arts.
6. The subject of the project is the participation of a female artist from Ukraine in a four-week artistic residency with the possibility of bringing her child(ren) to the Creative Activity Centre in Ustka. The aim of the residency is to develop the selected project submitted to the open call and to create an exhibition summarising the project or a meeting with the public presenting the results of the project.
7. The artist will be selected for the programme through participation in an open call. Participation in the open call requires the submission of a complete application to the organiser.
8. Duration of the Artist Residency: 2.11.2024 – 1.12.2024.
Application
1. To participate in the open call, you must send a complete application including
– contact details: name, e-mail address, telephone number
– A description of the concept (maximum 500 words), concept sketches can be included, visualisations of the project, video files should be included as links to YouTube… etc,
– CURRICULUM VITAE
– Portfolio (maximum 10 MB) or a link to the portfolio posted online, any additional multimedia material should be attached as links to YouTube, etc.
2.The complete application should be sent to: [email protected] with the subject line „Artist Residency for female artist from Ukraine” by 20.09.2024, 23:59 (UTC+1).
3. Incomplete applications, applications that do not meet the organiser’s formal requirements and applications sent after the deadline will not be considered in the selection process.
4. One female artist may submit only one application.
5. It is not possible for an artist collective to submit a project.
6. The artist declares that she is the creator and owns the copyright of all elements included in the submitted entry.

Selection of projects
1. 1 project by 1 artist will be selected by a committee of BGSW staff on the basis of the submitted project proposal and portfolio.
2. The results of the call will be announced on the organiser’s website and social media, and the author of the accepted project will be contacted individually by email.
3. The organiser’s decision is final and cannot be changed.
Participation in the programme implies:
1.The artist’s express consent through a voluntary, concrete, informed and unequivocal expression of will, in the form of an application for participation, as a clear act of consent to the processing of personal data concerning her/him.
2. The artist accepts and complies with the regulations of the artist residency dedicated to an artist from Ukraine.
3. The artist accepts the form of the residency proposed by the organiser.
4. The artist agrees to hold a workshop with the public, an exhibition or a meeting with the public at the end of the residency.
5. The artist agrees to present the the stages of the project on the organiser’s website and social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
6. The artist grants a free licence to present the documentation of her previous realisations, the stages of work on the project and the final result of the work on the organiser’s social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
General conditions of participation:
1. The condition for participation in the artist residency programme is the signing of a contract and the payment of a 500.00 PLN deposit to the organiser’s account by 20.10.2024, which will be refunded immediately after the realisation of the exhibition and compliance with all the terms and conditions.
2. There is an honorarium for the artist selected in the open call for the programme
in the amount of 5,000.00 gross, which is funded by the programme partner Zaiks Fund for the Promotion of Creativity. The honorarium will be paid to the artist’s account immediately after the exhibition has been organised and all the requirements of the regulations have been met.
3. The organiser does not cover costs related to travel, transport of works or purchase of additional materials for the project.
4. The artist will stay within the deadline: 2.11.2024 – 1.12.2024 at CAT in Ustka.
5. The organiser does not charge for staying at CAT in Ustka or for using the studio.

Purpose of processing – The purpose of processing your personal data is to organize artistic residency programs at the BGSW and online, and to promote the BGSW.
The basis for processing – The basis for the processing of personal data is the delivery of the contract pursuant to art. 6 sec. 1 b) of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the European Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (GDPR) and art. 6 sec. 1 b) consent to make public the image, name and biography in publications on the Internet.
Data storage period – your personal data will be stored for a period of 10 years, and the data will be processed on the basis of consent until its withdrawal.
Recipients of data – The recipients of your personal data published on the website are Internet users, for other data, the recipients may be entities authorized to disclose data to them under the law. Recipients may also include our service providers.
Personal Rights – You have the right to: protect your personal data, access it, the right to limit its processing and the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul.
