The project ‘Oxygen’, which is a continuation of the production ‘Adapted Towns’, ‘Urban Landscape – Nowa Huta’, ‘Urban Landscape – Kraków’ will explore the possibilities of analogue and digital photography in urban space. Having collected for years memories and traces related to key places intertwined with my life and the life of my family, I pay attention to the changeability of landscape and the memory of locations that no longer exist and are doomed to be forgotten. During the implementation of the project, I referred to the image of Ustka held by tourists as a health resort, a remedy for overexertion and a longing for relaxation and a simple lifestyle. It will also reflect on the search for places where unpolluted air is still available, because breathing is a basic function of life. I will show the contrast between the feelings of the inhabitants of Ustka and Krakow during the ongoing tourist season, when for the autochthons the “time of rest” becomes a time of intensive work. My meetings with the local community will turn into conversations about places, favourite zones accompanying the most important moments of their existence. I will make spontaneous portraits in landscapes of their choice, contrasting them with portraits inspired by the aesthetics of photography from so-called photo booths
